Cosmetic Dentistry

1. Bleaching and Stain Removal
In surgery whitening procedures are more effective then the do-it-yourself kits bought over the counter.
2.Tooth–Coloured fillings
For many years, silver fillings or amalgams were used to restore teeth that had sustained minimal decay or small fractures. Today, our patients are electing tooth-coloured fillings to improve aesthetics. Advances in composite resign allow for tooth-coloured fillings that serve the same purpose as the metal fillings that are virtually undetectable.
3. CEREC same-day cad-cam porcelain reconstructions
CEREC by Sirona Dental Systems is the world's only system for the fabrication of all ceramic dental restorations in one office visit. Consisting of image acquisition electronics, an infrared camera, and milling unit, which combine with state-of-the-art CEREC 3D software, CEREC allows the dentist to create perfect fitting, aesthetically pleasing, ceramic restorations in one office visit.
CEREC is capable of producing any single tooth restoration. Chipped or discolored front teeth can be repaired with CEREC porcelain anterior crowns or veneers.
For you, the patient, CEREC means fewer injections, less drilling, and less time spent in the dental surgery.
4. Implants
These are an option if you don’t want to wear a crown or a bridge or because the gaps between teeth are too long for a conventional bridge.
An implant is made from metal, called titanium that is secured into and eventually fuse with your jawbone, anchoring an artificial tooth or bridge. These are placed by your surgeon and left in position for 12-16 weeks depending on each case and a temporary plastic partial denture or tooth placed in the space till the healing has occurred. The rest of the procedures are very similar to the crown manufacture.
Advantages to dental implants that include:
- Long lasting fixed alternative to removable dentures
- Provide highly stable support for the replacement of several teeth
- Avoids grinding down adjacent teeth as required by bridgework
- Predictable, natural looking and natural feeling results
Our dentists can provide you with a consultation to determine whether or not implant dentistry is right for you.
5. Crowns
A dental crown, or dental cap as it also known, is used when the tooth has been badly damaged or decayed. Dental crowns are used when the tooth decay or damage is too severe to be filled successfully. Dental crowns are tooth-shaped coverings that are placed over the entire damaged or decaying tooth restoring its strength, shape and size. Dental crowns can also be used to cover discolored teeth. 6. Veneers
Veneers are thin custom made 'shells' permanently bonded to the front of your teeth. They are usually made of porcelain.
